What is the job of the North Union Township Supervisors? Are they supposed to get elected in and then sit on their rear sides and get their picture in the paper now and then to make it look good?

There is a serious problem with quads and dirt bikes in the Clark School area. They run up and down the streets day and night. They even run across private properties. When I call the township on this matter, a secretary says we have no ordinance on this, but maybe she will check with the code enforcer.

When I asked about if something can be done about a yipping dog that never shuts up, she says we have no ordinance on that either, and you have to call a magistrate and file papers. Well I think it’s time these so-called supervisors draw up some ordinances and serve people of the township that put them into their laid back positions.

There is also a problem every night with people in cars hanging out around the school doing what they please.

I don’t think the state police should always be bothered to clear them out. A few so-called ordinances would take care of all these problems if they were in effect and enforced. Maybe a suit filed against the township would bring some needed action. Just remember this come voting time.
