Clara C. Martin
Clara C. Martin, 80 of Connellsville, (Bullskin Twp.) passed away peacefully Monday, September 28, 2009 in the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born May 30, 1929 in Arnold City a daughter of the late Richard and Mary Heinz Walker.
Clara was a graduate of Connellsville High School. She was a member of the Breakneck Church of God and was treasurer of the Adult Sunday School Class. Clara was a avid bingo player and liked to baby sit, sew and crafts.
She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children: James Martin and wife, Martha of Connellsville, Nancy Patterson and husband, Dale and Sandra Patterson and husband, Delmas all of Farmington; her grandchildren: Lisa Bowman and husband, James of Connellsville, Shelley Bryner and husband, Kevin of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Ann Moore and husband, Terry of Farmington, Jonathan Patterson and wife, Erika of Donegal and James Patterson and wife, Katie of Uniontown; her step grandson, Elmer Stillwagon and wife, Louann of Connellsville; her great-grandchildren: Tyler and Valerie Bowman, Ryan Moore and Logan Patterson; and her step great-grandchildren Brittany and Shawn Stillwagon.
Clara was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband, Grant “Sonny” Martin, her sister, Mildred Raupauch and her brothers, Robert, Tom and Richard Walker.
Family and friends will be received today from 2-9 PM and Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM, the hour of a funeral service, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville with Rev. Joseph Wingrove Jr. officiating.
A committal service and interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Bullskin Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Breakneck Church of God, Window Fund, 798 Breakneck Rd., Connellsville, PA. 15425, in memory of Clara C. Martin.
