James J. Kolosky Sr.
James J. Kolosky Sr., age 71, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania died suddenly on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Born on August 17, 1938 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania he was the son of Paul Kolosky Sr. and Elizabeth Vodise Kolosky.
He was owner/operator of the Pony Express Restaurant.
James served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1965 and was a member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Paul Kolosky Jr.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Patricia Kelly Kolosky; a son, James J. Kolosky Jr. (D e p u t y U. S. Marshal, Washington D.C.); two sisters: Rosalee “Sis” Powell and Debbie Fields of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; and several loving brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.
Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, August 2, 2010 until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, with Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Pleasant View I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithfield, Pennsylvania where Military Rites will be accorded by General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103
Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home today at 8:45.
