Loretta Tate Sperko
0005912594-01-1.jpg Loretta Tate Sperko, age 69, died July 30, 2010 peacefully at home with her Family by her side in McClellandtown, Pennsylvania after a long struggle w i t h pulmonary disease. She was born June 25, 1941 at her parent’s home in Fairchance, Pennsy-lvania. Her p a r e n t s w e r e Perry Stanford Tate and Helen Jane Guthrie Tate.
Also preceeding her in death were her husband, Robert Sperko; two sisters, Eleanor Delores Tate High and Ester Leona Tate Methany; brother, Delbert James Guthrie; and a granddaughter, Carrie Lynn Price.
Surviving are her children: Patricia Parsons and husband David, Parma Heights, Ohio, Diana Price and husband James Shaffer Jr., Fairchance, Pennsylvania,Georgetta Chmura and her husband Ed of Adah, Pennsylvania, Laura Abel and James P. Skovira Jr., Scottdale, Pennsylvania, Lisa Morgan and husband Scott of Fairchance, Donna Cunningham and Keith Huber of McClellandtown, and son, David Whyel and wife Denise, Allison, Pennsylvania; seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Tate; sister, Nancy Skiles; one sister-in-law, Charolette Guthrie; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pennsylvania on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Lillian Sparks officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park Brownfield, Pennsylvania.
