Man killed in lawn mower accident

A Fayette County man was killed Monday when the lawn mower he was riding rolled over on him in Bullskin Township. Rick Adobato, chief of Fayette EMS, said the unidentified man died as a result of the incident, which occurred at 5:22 p.m.

According to Adobato, the man had been cutting grass on a riding mower at his residence on Franklin Road when the mower flipped, trapping the man beneath it.

Fayette County Deputy Coroner Alvin Sapp III pronounced the man dead at the scene. Roger Victor, chief investigator for the coroner’s office, was also on scene.

State police are investigating the accident.
