Uniontown Uniontown police said they filed two citations for harassment against Daniel A. Smith of Uniontown after separate altercations with Garry Check, also of Uniontown, at two locations on Beeson Boulevard on July 27. Dunbar Twp. Man charged

State police said Mark Chernok of Dunbar was charged with simple assault and harassment following an altercation with Amanda Hansel of Dunbar on Dunbar Road at 11:06 a.m. Monday.

Connellsville Two jailed

A Dawson man and Connellsville woman are in jail following separate arraignment hearings held in connection with a June 6 burglary at Connellsville Bottling Works.

Seth Annis, 24, of Dawson, was arrested at his residence on July 19 and Stacey Leonard, 34, turned herself into police on the same day.

Both are charged with burglary.

According to police, officers responded to an alarm at the North 3rd Street business and apprehended Wayne R. Fuller Jr. 33, of Connellsville, after he allegedly ran from the building.

Annis and Leonard allegedly fled from the scene in a vehicle, said police.

Fuller was earlier arraigned on a burglary charge.

Annis and Leonard were placed in Fayette County Prison after failing to post the $25,000 bond imposed by Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty.

Dunbar Twp.

State police said Larry Bartholow, 29, of Connellsville was cited for criminal trespassing after he was found on property owned by Stephen Bradish of Connellsville at 11:30 a.m. Monday.

South Union Twp. Theft reported

State police said a license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at 12 Tuskegee Terrace between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday. No further information was available.

Hempfield Twp. Fraud investigated

State police said they are investigating an alleged insurance fraud scheme perpetrated by two Fayette County residents in Westmoreland County. Police said that a Connellsville man and a Uniontown man are suspected of fraudulently manipulating a life insurance policy following the death of a Greensburg woman in 2008.

The incident remains under investigation by state police.

Further details were not available.

North Union Twp. Cash stolen

Clifford Opperud of Masontown told police that $50 was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on North Gallatin Avenue at 5 p.m. Monday, state police said.

East Huntingdon Purse stolen

State police said a purse owned by Mary Evans of Everson was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Bessemer Road in East Huntingdon Township on Monday morning.

Franklin Twp. Theft reported

State police said a radio, cell phone and other items were stolen Saturday from a vehicle owned by Schlumberger Technology Corp. of Inez, Ky., in Franklin Township, Greene County.

Jefferson Twp. Window damaged

Vandals damaged a window at the Rices Landing Giant Eagle pharmacy Saturday night or Sunday morning, state police said.

Bullskin Twp. Vehicle damaged

Vandals damaged a vehicle owned by Leeann Boring of Mount Pleasant while it was parked on Greenlick Road on July 28, state police said.
