Robert C. Brownfield
Robert C. “Bob” Brownfield, 83 of Fairchance, Pa. died suddenly at home on August 3, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born October 31, 1926 in Georges Township, Pa. son of the late Robert T. Brownfield and Ethel Irene Townsend Brownfield.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Alcesta Wade.
Bob was a local dairy farmer in the Fairchance area for all his life and loved to work the farm from morning to night.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother-in-law to his family; his wife, Myrtle Moore Brownfield; four children, Robert C. Brownfield, Jr., Merchant A. Brownfield and wife Cindy, Ike B. Brownfield and wife Mindy and Barbara J. Burnsworth and husband Robert; fourteen grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Resko and husband Frank and Betty Herber and sister-in-law, Wilma Moore.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday 7-9 p.m., Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, August 8, 2010 until 2:00 p.m. the hour of service with Rev. Scott Hoppe officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairchance Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
