Barry D. Livingstone, age 71, of Chalk Hill and formerly of Deer Lake, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born February 4, 1939 in Fayette City, Pa.

Barry was a member of the New Harvest Church of God in Silver Spring, Florida and attended The Church of God in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

He enjoyed being a foster parent for ten years.

Mr. Livingstone retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Allenport, Pennsylvania.

He was an 8-year veteran of the United States Navy.

Barry’s life drew him into t h e m i n i s t r y w h e r e he p r e a c h e d in numerous churches, including N o r t h Carolina and Florida.

He enjoyed the outdoors, playing golf and hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time at his winter home in Florida.

He was known as a very kind and giving person and helped many in their time of need.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him!

Preceding him in death were a son, Tony Sabec; a sister, Leah Ramsey; and a brother, Joseph Livingstone.

Surviving are: his wife Louise (Lazzaro) Livingstone; son, Tony L i v i n g s t o n e; two brothers: Alex (Joan) Livingstone and Keith (Dee) Livingstone; his favorite niece and nephew: Sondra Younkin and Walter Gillis; and many others.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pennsylvania today from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, August 10, 2010 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Elliott Leighty and Pastor Evelyn Stillwagon officiating.

Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Chalk Hill
