Cars collide
Uniontown Sally H. John, 78, of Fairchance and Geralyn Kacmar-Martin, 50, of Uniontown both received minor injuries around 8 p.m. Friday when their cars collided on Route 40 near Bodkin Road. The crash occurred when John attempted to make a left turn into the Kwik Fill lot and Kacmar-Martin could not stop in time, police said. An unknown suspect attempted to steal a vehicle between the hours of 2:20 a.m. and 2:25 a.m. July 28 at 118 Bennington Road from an unnamed male, 25, of Hopwood, police said.
Uniontown Woman charged
Nella V. Balling, 41, of Uniontown was charged with driving under the influence after she was stopped initially for a traffic violation, police said. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday at Union and Maurice streets.
Georges Twp. Female arrested
A Smithfield woman was arrested around 8 p.m. Friday at Big Six and Route 43 based on a warrant out of West Virginia, police said.
North Union Twp. Three charged
State police charged three Uniontown residents Friday with harassment after argument along Grubbs Avenue.
The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis against Kerry Teets, 38, Elizabeth Teets, 38, and Nessa Teets, 19, said police.
Dunbar Twp. Vehicle damaged
Michael Priester, 47, of Dunbar reported Thursday to state police that someone damaged the rear of his vehicle with a can opener while it was parked along Slaughter House Lane, said police. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call state police at 724-439-7111.
Wharton Twp. Gas nozzle damaged
A-Plus Sunoco located on National Pike reported to state police Aug. 5 that Inderpal Guglani, 45, of Gibsonia drove away from a gas pump with the nozzle remaining in his vehicle’s gas tank, said police. Damage to the gas pump was estimated at $257.
Menallen Twp. Charges filed
State police filed charges of driving under the influence against Donovan A. Wright, 31, of 402 Hadenville Road, Uniontown, on Friday after officers responded to a one-vehicle accident along Poundstone Road. The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr., said police.
