Church celebration
Mountain news The 150th-year celebration of the Meadow Run Community Church will be held Aug. 22. A catered luncheon will be served at 12:30, following the morning service. Cost of the meal is $12 for adults. Children may eat free. Reservations must be made with a check or money order and received by the Rev. Ken Vansickle, P.O. Box 531, Uniontown, Pa. 15401, by Aug. 16.
A dedication service will be held at 2 p.m. the same day. The Chris Wilson Family will provide the music.

Church remodeled
Mount Calvary Baptist Church pastor Chuck Gray and the congregation invite the public to services at the church located at 2137 Dinnerbell-Five Forks Road, Farmington. The church was recently remodeled and its congregation is anxious to share it.
The Steel City Quartet will perform at the church on Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m.

MCAG news
The Mountain Citizen Action Group had 37 attending the recent appreciation dinner. The catered meal was followed by door prizes and bingo.
Door prizes, handmade by Joanne Weltz, were won by Dee Dee Cuppett, John Dean and Shirley Schumm.
Eva Fike, 86, was the only charter member present.
Maxine Anderson, coordinator for last week’s indoor yard sale, extends sincere thanks to all who baked or helped in any way. New residents
Tabitha and Wayne Hess and children, Jewell and Cole, recently moved from Friendsville, Md., to their new home on Flatrock Road, Markleysburg.
Cole was a birthday celebrant July 8. He will be a second-grade student at Marclay Elementary School this fall. Jewell celebrated her birthday July 11 and will be a seventh-grade student at A.J. McMullen School.
