Evelyn Silver Rosemeier
Evelyn Silver Rosemeier, 81, of Cokeburg, Pennsylvania died early Thursday morning August 5, 2010 at her home in her sleep. She was born in Marianna, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1928. Evelyn was the second oldest daughter of the late Nick Silver Sr. born in Jerkovitsie near Kiev in the Ukraine who came to the USA when he was 16 and Thelma Wnek born in Southern Poland who came to the USA when she was 2.
On July 1, 1950 she married George Rosemeier also of Cokeburg, the love of her life. He died June 26, 2007. They are now together.
Mrs. Rosemeier was a stay at home mom and housewife raising six children.
She was active member of Ava Maria Parish where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are five sons: Dr. Ronald Rosemeier and his wife Jolanta of Monkton, Maryland, Robert Rosemeier of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, Raymond Rosemeier and his wife Margaret of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Richard Rosemeier and his wife Mary of Washington, Pennsylvania, Randal Rosemeier and his wife Heather of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Renee Gibbons and husband Robert of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Nicole (Rosemeier) Klawitter, Cory Rosemeier, Matthew, Rebecca, Katie, Sara, Nolan, Eve, Anna Rosemeier, and Hannah and Abigail Gibbons; three great grandchildren: Shawnna, Caroline and Ethan Rosemeier. The two remaining sisters of Evelyn are Betty Babyak of Henderson, Nevada and Sonia Pasqualucci of Canton, Ohio; one remaining brother, Richard Silver of Cleveland, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to Evelyn’s parents and husband, are two brothers, Samuel and Nick Silver Jr., one sister, Marjorie Kubovcik; and a grandson, Jason Michael Rosemeier, son of Ronald and father of Shawnna Rosemeier.
Family will receive Friends today from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the G R E E N L E E FUNERAL HOME, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, Pennsylvania where Prayers will be said on Monday, August 8, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the Ave Maria Roman Catholic Church, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Father Gary Krummert and the Rev. Father Leonard Blostic concelebrating.
Interment will be in Maple Creek Cemetery, Fallowfield Township, Pennsylvania.
The Ave Maria Women’s Guild will recite the Rosary in the Funeral Home today at 7.
