Fay Zoretic Kachur Shaw
Fay Zoretic Kachur Shaw, age 87, of Warrenton, Virginia passed away Friday morning August 6, 2010 in Oak Springs Nursing Center, Warrenton, Virginia. She was born January 12, 1923 in Hibbs, Pa, the daughter of the late Joseph Zoretic and Nellree Coven Zoretic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Joseph Jerome Kachur; her brothers: Bill Zoretic and Merle Zoretic.
Fay was a graduate of the former German Township High School and attended California College and later Uniontown School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse.
She was a charter member of the Sweet Adelines.
She was a dedicated Registered Nurse, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving children: Daniel Kachur and wife Karen of Warrenton, Virginia, David Kachur and wife Monica of Warrenton, Virginia and Pam Kachur of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Grandchildren: Bridgett, Helen, Christine and John Kachur; brother: Rick Zoretic of North Carolina; several loving nieces and nephews and other relatives of both the Zoretic and Kachur families.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 NOON when a Blessing Service will be held.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa..
