John T. Brady, Jr., 90, of Whitehouse, Pa., died Monday, August 9, 2010 in Horizon Personal Care Home, Fairchance, Pa. He was born February 12, 1920 in Whitehouse, Pa., son of John T. Brady Sr. and Martha Kingan Brady.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen O. Brady, a son, Larry Brady, two sisters, Eva Rebecca Brady and Patricia Baker; three brothers, Albert Brady, Charles Brady and Robert Brady.

Surviving are three children: Roger Brady and his wife, Nancy of Smock, Pa., Carol Sholtis and her husband, Bill of Uniontown, Pa. and David Brady and his wife, Kelley of Whitehouse, Pa. and several nieces and nephews and his beloved pet parakeet, Katie. John was the last surviving member of his family.

He was a member of the White House Free Methodist Church, Whitehouse, Pa. He served in World War II with the 82nd Airborne Division, was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 747, Point Marion, Pa. and the Mountain Lodge.

The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, August 13, 2010 until 10 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Horizon Personal Care Home and the Albert Gallatin Hospice nurses.
