Masontown woman sentenced to six to 12 months in prison
A Masontown woman accused of leaving her four children home alone this past winter while she and her boyfriend traveled to a methadone clinic will spend at least the next six months in prison. Masontown police Robin Lynn Harbarger, 32, was charged in February before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with four first-degree misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of children for allegedly leaving her 10-year-old daughter in charge of her 3- and 8-year-old brothers and 16-month-old sister.
Her boyfriend, Robert William Fowler, 33, of Masontown, was also charged but is still awaiting a preliminary hearing in the matter.
This afternoon, Fayette County Judge Steve P. Leskinen accepted Harbarger’s guilty pleas to the counts and sentenced her to six to 12 months in state prison.
