PennDOT releases weekly schedule
Chris Sleighter, Fayette County manager with the state Department of Transportation, has announced the following tentative work plans for the week beginning Monday. The schedule is as follows:
n Bridge crew will be doing bridge replacement on Route 166 in German Township.
n Bridge flushing crew will be cleaning bridges on Route 281 from the West Virginia State Line to the Confluence area.
n Base repair is scheduled on state Route 166 from the Edenborn area to New Salem Road and on New Salem Road.
n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on two rural roads in the Virgin Run area.
n Washout repair is scheduled on Route 40 in the Markleysburg area.
n Pipe flushing is scheduled on Albany Road.
n Inlet repair is scheduled on Route 857 in the Fairchance area.
n Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the county.
All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits. PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
