Penguins sign Orpik’s brother

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Andrew Orpik, a forward who is the younger brother of Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik, has signed to play for the Penguins’ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) farm club. Andrew Orpik, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound right wing, had 10 goals and 12 assists in 35 games with Las Vegas (ECHL). Orpik, 24, also played briefly with San Antonio (AHL).

A seventh-round pick by Buffalo in 2005, Orpik had 18 goals and 29 assists in four seasons at Boston College. He played on the Eagles’ 2008 national championship team.
