Lillian Marie Shaffer Whetsel, 86, died August 15. Surviving are a son Earl Whetsel and a daughter Nancy Kovach; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother and three sisters.

Lillian was a veteran of WWII in the US Navy and formerly employed by the Zed Francis Market and the J.C. Penney Company.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME and will be announced.
