Mary Ellen Van Fosson Molnar, 84 of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born April 20, 1926 in Monongah, WV. Preceding her in death were her parents, George C. Van Fosson and Edna Bell Lipscomb Van Fosson, her husband, Aleck E. Molnar, two brothers, Garry and James R. Van Fosson and two sisters, Betty Jane Holbert and Janet Looman.

Mary graduated from Monongah, WV High School in 1944 and later worked as a secretary at the Pentagon during WWII.

She was a faithful member of the Uniontown Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are a daughter, Sheila Kay Hogan and husband William of Madison, Pa.; two grand daughters, Valorie Miller and husband John of Uniontown, Pa. and Abigail Hogan of North Versailles, Pa.; a great grandchild, Alexis Miller; a brother, Marvin Van Fosson of Mannington, VW; three sisters, Shirley Shaffer and husband Edward of Uniontown, Pa., Linda Houstan of Lynchburg, VA and Carolyn Dean of Monongah, WV and a best friend Reba Howard of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday in the Uniontown Church of the Brethren on Robinson Street, Uniontown from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Vince Cable officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
