Connellsville Rotary Club to hold annual rose sale Sept. 4

Rotary Club of Connellsville will conduct its annual rose sale during the Labor Day weekend. The sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 4, at the following locations: n Scottdale Bank & Trust Arch Street, Connellsville – drive up window 8:30 a.m. to noon.

n Farmer’s Market at Yough Park

n Fiesta Insurance (Fay-West Travel building – Memorial Boulevard) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

n Lynn’s Dairy Queen – Connellsville and Mount Pleasant beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, while supplies last. There will be a pre-sale at Highlands Hospital from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept 3 in the hospital lobby.

Nearly 5,000 solid and mixed colored roses will be sold for $10 per dozen. Proceeds from the annual Rose Sale are used to help fund numerous service projects in the community.

In past years, the club has sponsored a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors, and made contributions to Connellsville Community Ministries, the Boy and Girl Scouts, The Lesley House, and many others.
