Counseling center opens at Health First
Dunbar Health First Mental Health Counseling Center has opened at 1829 University Drive, Dunbar. Counseling services are available to individuals, couples and families. The mission of the center is to promote the healing of families and individuals through counseling services designed to meet the needs of those seeking them. Brittany Edge, is the licensed marriage and family therapist.
Assistance can be offered for marriage and family issues, parenting, relationship conflicts, depression, anxiety, communication, divorce, remarriage and step families, co-parenting concerns, emotional distress and couple enhancement sessions.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Friday. Counseling service fees can be handled through insurance and a flat fee. Sessions generally are 50 minutes long.

Uniontown McClure & Wolf adds staff
McClure & Wolf, Certified Public Accountants, recently added to its accounting staff Corrine S. Holley and Amanda J. Jesso.
Holley graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. During her academic career, Holley was awarded the Greensburg Merit Scholarship and the Eberly Foundation Scholarship. Additionally, through the university’s learning resource center, Holley tutored students in managerial accounting, PC software for business and operations management.
Jesso received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from West Virginia University. While attending school, Jesso worked in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (VITA) program as a tax return preparer and as a coordinating center associate for a registered healthcare provider network.
Recently, the partners of McClure & Wolf, CPAs, announced the promotion of Clayton E. Gregg IV, a certified public accountant, to manager.
Gregg, a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, joined the local firm in September 2007. Since joining McClure & Wolf, Gregg has worked extensively in the audit department and specializes in the performance of audits for government entities and employee benefit plans.

Uniontown Cable updates channel change
Atlantic Broadband has announced a delay in the temporary channel change for PCN (Pennsylvania Cable Network). A new start date that has been given by Atlantic Broadband is Sept. 21. The ending date for this temporary move is now Nov. 9, according to Atlantic Broadband.
Atlantic Broadband will temporarily deliver PCN digitally on channel 14 as the operator makes upgrades to its network.
This change will only affect customers in Uniontown. In order to continue viewing PCN’s programming without interruption during this transition, customers without digital service will need digital equipment to view PCN.
Atlantic Broadband customers in the Uniontown area with questions on how to secure this equipment in order to avoid any service interruption can call 1-888-893-9002.
Customers in this service area will also receive written notification concerning this digital enhancement.

Uniontown Investment firm honored
For the fifth year out of the past six, Edward Jones financial services firm has ranked highest in investor satisfaction with full-service brokerage firms, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 full-service satisfaction study, according to Misti Reader, an Edward Jones financial advisor in Uniontown.
The study measures an overall investor satisfaction with full-service investment firms based on seven factors: investment advisor, portfolio performance, account information, account offerings, commissions and fees, website and problem resolution. The J.D. Power study found that Edward Jones “performed particularly well across the two highest-weighted factors: investment advisor and investment performance,” Reader said.
