Cleo Bryner Jackson
Cleo Bryner Jackson, age 81 of Monongahela, Pennsylvania died Saturday, August 21, 2010 in her home with her loving Family by her side. Born June 27, 1929 in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, raised by her grandparents, Margaret and Richard Bryner, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Ruth (Bryner) Deberry.
She retired as a Seamstress for the Cicci Dance Supply C o m p a n y in Finleyville, Pennsylvania.
Cleo was a member of the F i r s t B a p t i s t C h u r c h in Monongahela, The Old Time Fiddlers, and The National Republican Congressional Committee.
Cleo enjoyed playing bingo, attending the Center in the Woods and also the Meadows, crocheting and sewing, and most of all supporting her grandchildren and great grandchildren with their sports. She loved her Pirates!
Surviving are: her husband, John Jackson, with whom she would have celebrated sixty-five years of marriage this October; two sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Vernie Jackson of Bentleyville, Pennsylvania and Garrie and Robbin Jackson, Monongahela, Pennsylvania; two daughters and sons-in-law: Betty Jean “BJ” and John Dornan of Monongahela and Vickie and Larry Lewis of Finleyville; a brother, Charles “Jr” and his wife Frances Deberry of New York; one sister, Debbie and her husband Albert Hallan of Texas; eleven grandchildren: Richard (Karen) Jackson, Aimee (Rick) Rusilko, Cynthia Jackson, Corey Jackson and Keith Jackson, Bill (Krystyn) Schottenheimer, A d a m Schottenheimer, P a t t i (Brandon) Miller, L a r r y (Alicia) Lewis, Johnny Lewis and Lance (Roxanne) Lewis; fifteen great-grandchildren: Erika Jackson, Cody Jackson, Isabelle and Dayton Simmons, Sarah and Eric Rusilko, B r o o k e and K a r l y Schottenheimer, Caylee and Rylee “her special Angel nurse” Miller, Z e k e and Clayton Joyce and Chance and Patience Lewis; sister-in-law, JoAnn VanNasdein of Connellsville, Pennsylvania; an uncle, Clifford Bryner who was like a brother; and a good friend, Pat Prentice.
Preceding her in death were her brother, Richard Deberry; three uncles, Orville Bryner, Dalton Bryner and William Bryner, and four aunts, Bertha Spaw, Neva Hager, B e t t y Hartsel, Marie Lee Masters all of whom she considered like brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received in the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME at 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063-2441 (724.258.6767) marshallmarrafuneralhome-.com on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. where Services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Andy Scott officiating.
Burial will be private and held at a later date in the Belle Grove Cemetery, Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania.
