Opal Scarff Franks
0005925598-01-1.jpg Opal L. Scarff Franks, 93, of East Millsboro, Pennsylvania went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 22, 2010. She was born September 4, 1916 in Grafton, West Virginia the daughter of Charles and Emma Scarff.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Kenneth R. Franks; four sisters and one brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children: Bob Franks and his wife Roberta of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio and Karen Giles and her husband Henry, Brownsville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Robert Franks and his wife Jackie, Laura Welsh, Steven Giles, Kelly Sohyda and her husband David, Colleen Ewart and her husband G e o r g e; seven great grandchildren: Christopher Franks, Trevor Welsh, Rob Franks, Chelsea Sohyda, David S o h y d a, Morgan Ewart and Mia Ewart. She also leaves one brother, C o r b e t t S c a r f f; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive Friends in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pennsylvania today (Monday, August 23, 2010) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 24, 2010 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Reverend Rev. Paul Lesher officiating.
Interment will be at the West Bend Cemetery in East Millsboro, Pennsylvania immediately following the Services at the Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Shirley and Evan Davies.
