South Union woman charged for alleged victim intimidation

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

A South Union Township woman is facing multiple charges after she tried to coerce a Uniontown man to lie to police about an alleged robbery committed by her boyfriend, police said. Uniontown police Detective Donald M. Gmitter said Susan Eileen Heilman, 41, of 510 Thomas St. was charged Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros with two felony counts of intimidation of a witness or victim and a single felony count of conspiracy to commit intimidation.

Gmitter said the charges were filed against Heilman after she tried to persuade Darren Lee, 44, of Uniontown, not to testify against her boyfriend, Alfonso Pugh, 23, also of 510 Thomas St. after police issued a warrant for Pugh’s arrest.
