Elizabeth man held for trial in alleged 2001 slaying

An Elizabeth man will stand trial for allegedly killing a Monongahela man over a drug debt in 2001 following a preliminary hearing this morning. Last week state police charged Ronald Michael Curran, 30, of 3220 Skillet Hill Road with criminal homicide in Jerry Lee Cushey’s death.

Christopher James Myers, 40, of 310 W. Crawford Ave., Connellsville, was also charged with homicide in Cushey’s death.

All charges against Curran were held for court following a hearing today in Washington County Court.
