Gladys L. Durant
0005927532-01-1.jpg Gladys L. Durant, age 87 of Masontown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 24, 1922, in Masontown, PA., a daughter of John and Emma (Raubaugh) Hower.
Her parents, brothers, Delmar Hower, Charles Hower, Joseph Hower and her sister, Nancy Coffman preceded her in death.
She was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Masontown.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 61 years, James Durant; children: James E. Durant and his wife Donna, John R. Durant, Mark J. Durant; a daughter, Robin Y. Lynch and her husband Rick; grandchildren: Tracey L. Galasso and her husband Richard, James C. Durant, Alexa B. Lynch, Christian T. Lynch; great-grandchildren: Myles C. McLaren, Cameron S. McLaren, Madisyn E. Galasso and Adam James Durant; a brother, John L. Hower; sisters: Delores Hower, Ruthann Vrabel, Gloria Markus; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC, 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 2-9 p.m., and Friday, August 27, 2010 until 10:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Father John M. Butler as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in the St. Agnes cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
