Hartman-Balchak
Melissa Hartman of Smithfield is engaged to wed Barry Balchak of Masontown in a ceremony set for Oct. 16. The bride-elect is the daughter of Robert Hartman of Smithfield and Tammy Gordon of Uniontown.
She is a 2003 graduate of Albert Gallatin Area High School and earned an associate degree in 2005 from Penn State University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2007 and 2010 from California University of Pennsylvania.
She is a reading teacher with the Albert Gallatin School District.
Her fiance is the son of Barry and Kathy Balchak of Masontown.
He is a 2002 graduate of Albert Gallatin Area High School and a 2006 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree. He is a substitute teacher.
