Joseph F. Weeder, Sr.
0005929367-01-1.jpg Joseph F. Weeder, Sr., 71, of Fancy Hill, Lake Lynn, Pa., died Wednesday, August 25, 2010, in the Uniontown Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 10, 1938 in Lake Lynn, he was a son of the late Louis “Pappy” and Rose Johnson Weeder.
A U.S. Army veteran, he worked in the coal mines, and was a self-employed contractor and roofer in the Point Marion area.
Surviving is his devoted wife of 46 years, Eileen Hart Weeder; three loving children and their spouses, Marie “Dutch” and Charlie Wade of Lake Lynn, Lana “Punk” and David McClain of Point Marion, and Joseph F. Jr. and Lydia Weeder of Laurel Point W.Va.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Belt, Kaycee Wade, D.J. and Amanda McClain, and Chelsea and Leah Weeder; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Alex Joseph Belt; a sister, Bonnie Caldwell, and a brother, Louis Weeder, Jr., both of Point Marion.
Joe was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Spacht and Reba Eberhart.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, on Saturday, from 5 – 8 p.m. A brief Service of Remembrance will begin at 8:00 p.m.
Private interment will take place in the Wade Family Cemetery, Lake Lynn.
