Edward “Ed” L. Farrier
Edward “Ed” L. Farrier, 71, of Dunbar, PA, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at home. He was born December 28, 1938, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late James Farrier and the late Margaret Channing Farrier.
He was of the Methodist faith and he was self employed doing home remodeling.
Surviving are daughters: Shawna Yakubec (Mike), Smock, Kelli Reese (Randy), Connellsville, and Amy Gross (Ron), Dunbar, sisters, Doleres Robinson (Bob), Masontown, and Darlene Babyak (Michael), Masontown; sister-in-law, Maureen Farrier, Carmichaels; grandchildren: Tiffany Guittap (Justin), Justin Grimm, Brooke Yakubec, Nathan Reese, Delaney Reese, and Erika Gross; great-grandson, Aiden Guittap; special nephew, more like a son, James Smitley (Terri) and many other nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Smitley and a brother, Robert Farrier.
Friends will be received from Noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, PA.
Services will be held in the Funeral Home, Thursday, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
Graveside services will be accorded by General George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
