Nutritionist to visit local grocery stores

Roberta Conner, a nutritionist employed by the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program at Fayette County Community Action Agency Inc., is visiting local grocery stores to help WIC clients make healthier food choices. WIC clients who need help spending their WIC vouchers or would like to try some new recipes to use their WIC foods are encouraged to talk to Conner.

Conner’s schedule of events for September is as follows:

n Uniontown Walmart, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday; 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8; and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20.

n Giant Eagle, Route 51 in North Union Township, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday; 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16; and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23.

n Walnut Hill Shop ‘N Save, South Union Township, noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9; noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13.

n Connellsville Walmart, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday; 12:30 to 4:30 pm. Friday, Sept. 10; 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14; and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21.
