0005989404-01-1.jpg Anthony “Tony” Mayerske, age 70, of Filbert, Pa., passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 in the Aspinwall Veteran’s Hospital. He was born November 5, 1940 in Searights, Pa, the son of Catherine M. Mayerske Rohlf of Filbert, Pa. and the late Anthony Mayerske.

Tony was a member of St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, Pa., graduate of St. Procopius grade school, New Salem, Pa., St. John’s High School, Uniontown, Pa., class of 1958, he attended Baylor University and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the New Salem American Legion Post 753.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his step father, Ivan H. Rohlf.

Surviving are his mother, Catherine M. Mayerske Rohlf of Filbert, Pa.; a brother, Michael Mayerske and wife, Kaylene of Fontenac, Kansas; sister, Paulette Russell and husband, Robert of Baxter Springs, Kansas; several step brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins and a special aunt and uncle, Barbara and Paul Sirilla of Filbert, Pa.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, 20 North Mill St., New Salem, Pa., on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 4, 2010 until 10:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at 11 am. in St. Procopius Church with Rev. Father Peter Peretti as Celebrant.

Military Rites will be accorded after Mass by Hopwood Amvets Post 103.
