Oliver McKlveen “Bud”
Oliver “Bud” McKlveen, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Talbott, Tennessee He was born July 15, 1929 the son of William and Anna (Poche) McKlveen who were l o n g t i m e residents of Masontown, Pennsylvania.
“Bud” attended the former Masontown High School with the class of 1947 but joined the military (Army Air Force) and served in Korea.
He was employed at United Airlines in Cleveland, Ohio for thirty-six years before retiring to Tennessee.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, William McKlveen; and sisters, Elsie Friedline, Ruth Klinger, Carol Leftwich, Berniece Friedline and Willa Krus.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Lillie (Camp) McKlveen; three daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth and Daniel Betzel of Columbus, Ohio, C h e r y l and E r i c McFarland of Alexandria, Virginia, Marcie and James DiFranco of LaGrange, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Charlotte Cunningham of Nashville, Tennessee, Virginia H e l m i c k of Smithfield, Pennsylvania and Eleanor Helmick of Lewisville, Ohio; a brother, Charles McKlveen of Bay City, Texas; nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, 411 West Broadway Boulevard, Jefferson City, TN 37760-3104 (865.475.3892) at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010.
