Party planned Santa Claus will be at Republic Community Library from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday for a Christmas party. The public is invited.

Meeting rescheduled

The regularly scheduled December meeting of the Connellsville Township Board of Supervisors will not be conducted this evening due to a lack of a quorum of supervisors.

The meeting will be rescheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Connellsville Township Volunteer Fire Hall.

All regular monthly business will be conducted at that time.

Classes to resume

Classes will resume today in the California Area School District.

Classes had been canceled Tuesday and Wednesday when a leak in the Tri-County Municipal Water Authority’s system reduced pressure to the point that there would not have been enough water for normal operations in the schools or for fire protection in the event of an emergency.

According to district officials, water was restored to the district Wednesday.
