Barbara Ann Reese Mickey
0005995089-01-1.jpg Barbara Ann Reese Mickey, age 57 years, of Connellsville passed away peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2010 in h e r h o m e after a long courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born on Sunday, April 5, 1953 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania the daughter of Jessie Harper Reese of Connellsville and the late Earl J. Reese.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Connellsville and a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1971.
She had worked as a Seamstress for the former Connellsville Sportswear and lately had been working at the Echo Day Care, Connellsville.
She was Protestant by faith.
Barbara loved children and enjoyed caring for them.
She loved to grow flowers.
In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Charles W. Mickey; daughter, April Mickey Waller and her husband Vincent of W e s t Newton, Pennsylvania; by her grandchildren: Kaiden Waller and Hannah Waller; by sisters: Susan D. Foster and husband Larry of Connellsville and Lois J. Bartholomai of Connellsville by her brothers: Roy A. Reese Reese and his wife Debbie of Connellsville and Randy S. Reese and his wife Kelli of Connellsville; several nieces and nephews; and her constant companion, her cat, Frosty.
Family and Friends were received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, where a Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 13, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Doug Johnson officiating.
A Committal S e r v i c e and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pennsylvania.
Donations may be made to Greenwood United Methodist Church, 109 East End Church, Connellsville, PA 15425 in memory of Barbara Ann Reese Mickey.
