Uniontown man charged for alleged assault on girlfriend

A Uniontown man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend during an argument in South Union Township Tuesday and used a knife to cut her arm. Trooper James A. Pierce said Ronald Dale Fitzgerald, 55, of 127 Apt. B, Varndell St. was charged before on-call Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with aggravated assault, simple assault and terroristic threats.

Pierce said the incident began when Fitzgerald and his girlfriend, April M. Boyer, 41, of South Union Township, attended a party at Boyer’s neighbor’s residence.
