Man accused of pointing loaded gun at person
Uniontown police filed multiple charges against a person accused of pointing a loaded gun at a man and ordering him to clean the house. Patrolman John M. Kauer said Terrance H. Lewis, 66, of Uniontown was charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm.
According to Kauer, officers were dispatched to 41 Lenox St. at 12:13 p.m. Friday for a man in the home with a gun threatening two occupants.
Eric Brown, 36, of Uniontown met the officers at the door and told police that Lewis had pointed a gun at him and ordered him not to leave the house until the home had been cleaned, Kauer said.
Lewis, according to police reports, allegedly told Brown, “You are going to clean this (expletive) house.”
Kauer said that Lewis was in the home when police arrived and originally told police he had a gun but didn’t have it in the house.
Kauer said Detective Donald M. Gmitter located a .22-caliber revolver lying on the floor in a bedroom where Lewis had been. The gun was fully loaded with five rounds of ammunition, Kauer said.
Lewis was arraigned on the charges before Senior Magisterial District Judge Robert Breakiron and placed in Fayette County Prison after failing to post a $25,000 bond.
Lewis’ preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
