Greene state police seek inmate
State police in Greene County are searching for an inmate who failed to return to the county prison after a scheduled release. Police said Charles Allen Fuller Jr., 24, was granted a school release from the Greene County Prison on Rolling Meadows Road in Franklin Township.
As part of the release, Fuller was allowed to leave the jail to attend classes.
Police said that Fuller left the prison Tuesday but failed to return to the prison by 6:30 p.m. as ordered.
Fuller has been in and out of prison for several years, court records indicate.
In 2005, he was sentenced to 18 months incarceration for assault.
He has been in the Greene County Prison since early May as he awaits trial before Fayette County Judge Steve P. Leskinen on theft charges filed in Fayette County in 2009.
Fuller also was one of more than 60 suspects rounded up in a drug warrant sweep conducted last year.
Police said Fuller is a white man, a little more than 6 feet tall and weighs 230 pounds.
He has green eyes and red hair and used to live in Dawson. Police said he also has family in the Daisytown area of Washington County.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.
