Nutritionist visits local stores

Roberta Conner, a newly hired nutritionist employed by the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program at Fayette County Community Action Agency Inc., is visiting local grocery stores to help WIC clients make healthier food choices. WIC clients who need help spending their WIC vouchers or would like to try some new recipes to use their WIC foods are encouraged to talk to Conner.

Conner’s schedule of events for this month is as follows:

n Noon to 4 p.m. today, Walnut Hill Shop ‘N Save in South Union Township.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Giant Eagle on Route 51 in North Union Township.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8, Uniontown Walmart.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 9, Giant Eagle.

n Noon to 4 p.m. Monday, July 12, Walnut Hill Shop ‘N Save.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15, Giant Eagle.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, Uniontown Walmart.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 19, Uniontown Walmart.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, Giant Eagle.

n Noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 22, Walnut Hill Shop ‘N Save.

n 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, Uniontown Walmart.

n Noon to 4 p.m. Friday, July 30, Walnut Hill Shop ‘N Save.
