Incident settled outside of court All charges were dismissed against a Fairchance man accused of backing his vehicle into two of his relatives after they reached an agreement outside of court.

State police said Mark A. Myers, 37, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with two counts of aggravated assault after he allegedly backed his pickup truck into his brother and niece in Georges Township in February.

Abraham dismissed all charges against Myers after he reached an agreement with his family prior to a hearing Thursday.

He had also been charged with two counts of simple assault and two summary harassment citations for the alleged incident.

Police said that Myers was arguing with his brother, Donald Ray Myers, and niece, Samantha Jo Myers, both of Georges Township at a home on Second Street in February.

When Mark Myers left the residence, he backed into them, police said.

Samantha and Donald Myers were each treated at Uniontown Hospital, police said. The extent of their injuries was not released.
