Shirley Wilson
0005895952-01-1.jpg Shirley Wilson, age 92 years of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at her home. She was born at Fairchance, Pa., on May 21, 1918 a daughter of the now late Richard Wilson and Sally Farrell Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eunice Wilson and three brothers, Leonard Burdette, Gilbert and Archie.
Shirley was a retired manager of the Dairy Department of Krogers Grocery Stores. She attended the Grace Brethren Church and the Whitehouse Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by three nieces: Michele Dillow and husband Tim of Smithfield, Pa., Gail Gmys and husband Tom of Pittsburgh, Pa., Brenda Martin and husband Kenneth of Thurmont, Md., one nephew, Newton Keith Wilson and wife Betty Jo of Va.; 10 grand nieces and nephews and a number of great-grand nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion, Wally, who was still by her side at the end.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME of Smithfield, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 3, 2010 until 11 a.m. when services will be conducted with the Rev. Kenny Rockwell officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
