Stanley A. Koosher
0005896600-01-1.jpg Stanley Addison Koosher, age 78, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, July 2, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren. Born on November 2, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John W. Koosher and Pauline Basta Koosher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Ann Jones Koosher on December 14, 1996.
“Stan” was a graduate of Uniontown High School and St. Vincent College.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church.
He was a United States Veteran serving in the Army.
Stan was a life long member of B.P.O.E. Elks of Uniontown.
He was retired from the Department of Public Welfare as a case manager.
He is survived by his devoted children: Lynn A. Orawiec and husband Frank of Hopwood, Pa., Scott A. Koosher of Uniontown, Nancy L. Kezmarsky and husband Stephen of Uniontown; his grandchildren whom he adored: Steven Addison Kezmarsky Zachary D. Clingan, Alexa L. Kezmarsky, Shelby L. Clingan, Christian A. Kezmarsky. Also survived by his wife, Marion “Pat” Richardson Koosher.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 8 to 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa. with the Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant and Msgr. Michael W. Matusak, V.F., as Concelebrant.
Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery.
