Richard A. Lininger
Richard A. Lininger, age 54 years, of Springfield Pike, Connellsville, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, July 1, 2010. He was born April 11, 1956 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania the beloved son of Arthur Ray Lininger and Donna J. (DuShaw) Lininger.
He was employed at the now former Freuhauf Corporation from 1978 to 1982.
Richard was the owner and operator of Dick’s Auto Body since 1972.
An avid collector of cars and antique toys, he also enjoyed going to car shows and races.
Richard graduated from Connellsville Area High School.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,Connellsville
He was predeceased by his parents; paternal grandparents Arthur C. Lininger and Laura B. Lininger; by his maternal grandparents, Edward O. DuShaw and Stella I. (Clark) DuShaw; and by his father-in-law, Earl Showman.
Surviving are: his loving wife of 33 years, Joyce Ann (Showman) Lininger; daughter Wendy Sue (Lininger) Shaw; a son-in-law, Kenneth Shaw; and mother-in-law, Mary Showman his sisters: Elaine Lininger of Connellsville, Sharon Lininger of Connellsville, Darlene (Lininger) Rogish and her husband Roger of Smithfield, Pennsylvania, Lori (Lininger) Stoots and her fiance Robert Heilman of Connellsville, and Deborah (Lininger) Brooks and her husband Robert of Connellsville; also many dear friends; nieces and nephews; and a loving g r e a t- a u n t and g r e a t-u n c l e, Dorothy and Harry Clark.
He will be sadly missed, especially by his pets, Gizmo. Biffy and Ginger.
Friends were received on Monday, July 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, where visitation will continue today (Tuesday, July 6, 2010) until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Dennis Roser officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery.
