By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

OHIOPYLE – A central Pennsylvania woman suffered a bite from a poisonous snake Friday in Ohiopyle. Stacie Faust, assistant manager at Ohiopyle State Park, said the 23-year-old woman was walking at her campsite inside the park around 11:30 p.m. when she was bitten by a copperhead snake on the toe.

“Her party contacted our ranger staff and then we called paramedics to the scene,” Faust said.

The woman was eventually flown by medical helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh where she was treated with anti-venom and released.
