Greene DA Fox reappointed to commission

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

Gov. Edward Rendell has appointed Greene County District Attorney Marjorie J. Fox to another two-year term on the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing. Fox said she was honored to continue serving on the commission. She was first appointed in April 2001.

Established by the Legislature in 1978, the commission was created to maintain a consistent and rational statewide sentencing policy, develop re-sentencing guidelines, create county and state parole guidelines and develop state parole revocation recommitment terms.

The 11-member commission includes four judges, four members of the House and Senate, a district attorney, a defense attorney and a law professor.
