Calvin S. “Bub” Mansell

Calvin S. “Bub” Mansell, age 96 of Waltersburg, Pa., passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 in the Hillside Manor Personal Care Home. He was born April 11, 1914 in Waltersburg, son of Claudius Mansell and Dora E. (Walters) Mansell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Edith (Huey) Mansell, his brothers and sisters: Ivan Mansell, Dale Mansell, Sara Natoli, Merle Mansell, Helen Paul and Dorothy Jeffries.

Calvin was the last charter member of Waltersburg Church of the Nazarene, a former member of the Church Board, a Sunday School Teacher and worked with the Church youth. He was a 1931 graduate of Uniontown High School, a retired U. S. Postal Clerk with forty-two years of service and and a former school bus driver for Edenfield Stages, a 4-H leader for fifty years, an officer in the Menallen School PTA, a member of Pleasant View Presbyterian Church dartball team, a member of the State of Pennsylvania and Fayette County Sunday School Association and a speaker representative for PCAF.

Calvin is survived by his daughter Sharon “Sherry” Barrett and husband Thomas of Littleton, Colorado; his son Calvin “Terry” Mansell and wife Audrey of Waltersburg; his grandchildren: Julie Rishel of West Virginia, Terri Baker and husband Joe of Smock, Brookanne Barrett of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Thomas Ross Barrett IV and wife Tara of Aurora, Colorado; his step – grandchildren: Charles “Po” Swink and Kim Marcinko; his great-grand-children: Ashley Bobbik and husband Eric and Levi Rishel, Savannah and Riley Baker and Thomas and Tray Barrett; his step-great grandchildren: Jodi Marcinko and Tyler Swink; his great – great grandchildren Cardon and Carter Bobbik and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 12, 2010 in WALTERSBURG CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE from 10 to 11 a.m., the Hour of Service with Pastor Howard Foust officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
