Edith (Berkshire) Laughead, 95 of Uniontown, Pa. died Thursday July 8, 2010 in Conners Personal Care Home. She was born August 16, 1914 in Morgantown, W.Va.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John L. Berkshire and Carrie (Ware) Berkshire, her husband Clint Irwin Laughead, six brothers: Harry, Lloyd, Ralph, Kenneth, Dewey and Raymond Lewis Berkshire and two sisters, Myrtle and Florence.

Mrs. Laughead was a retired nurse having worked for the Uniontown Hospital and both Dr. Nixon and Dr. Sennet and was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving are nieces Anna P. White of Vanderbilt, Pa., Catherine Ritz and husband Nicholas of Mt. Pleasant, Pa. and Dolores Miller and husband Michael of Marietta, Ga., a nephew David Berkshire of McClellandtown, Pa. and many other loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, Pa. on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service with the Reverend Paul N. Frank officiating.

Private interment will follow in Old Frame Cemetery Smithfield, Pa.
