Man charged after fight at Washington County casino

NORTH STRABANE TWP. – A West Alexander man is behind bars after he assaulted two state police troopers during an altercation at the Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township, Washington County Sunday. State police said Donald Lee Beck Jr., 42, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following the skirmish at a blackjack table inside the casino around 2:35 a.m.

Police said the incident occurred after security officers from the Meadows went table to table to requesting patrons finish alcoholic beverages to comply with state liquor control board regulations.

Beck apparently took offense when one of the security guards removed an empty beer bottle from the cup holder in front of Beck and he allegedly started swearing at the guard and stood up in a threatening manner, police said.
