0005903717-01-1.jpg James G. Smith, 60, P.O. Box 692, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, passed away suddenly on July 10, 2010 He was the son of the late Steven and Violet Smith of Belle Vernon
He was a retired Speech & Language Therapist of 28 years who taught at the Intermediate Unit in Coal Center, Pa. Jim graduated with a Master’s Degree from California State University.
He was a Black Belt instructor and co-writer of books with Dr. Evan Baltazzi of the American Self – Protection Association, Inc. He loved collecting World War II memorabilia and flying professional kites.
Living at the beach was his best retirement.
Surviving is his wife, Marlene, who worked at Florida Hospital Flagler. Jim has a sister, Margie Drazba, brother in law Charles, and niece Allison, in Maryland. He also has three step children David Consider, Texas; Darren Consider, Washington DC; and Courtney and Gary Humes, Pa. Jim is also leaving behind two grandchildren, Aidan and Lydia Humes, whom he all loved dearly. He will truly be missed by his wife, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held in Flagler Beach, Florida and Belle Vernon, Pa. at a later date. Services are in the care and trust of CRAIG FLAGLER PALMS FUNERAL HOME.
