Bud Murphy’s downed Pasta Lorenzo 14-1 Sunday in Fayette County League action, scoring 11 runs in the first three innings. Nick Damico (4-0) pitched five innings, yielding no runs while walking three and striking out six batters for Bud Murphy’s (17-2-2).

Jason Greene, Cole Loman and Andy Schleihauf each doubled twice. Loman had four RBI and Brian Sankovich added five RBI and a double.

Mark Woleslagle doubled for Pasta Lorenzo (4-14-2) as Brent Baker took the loss from the mound. Baker pitched three innings and also had two hits.

Bud Murphy’s now has a three-game lead in the standings with three games left. The team returns to action today at Blue Mountain.

The Copperheads will battle the Cokers tonight in a makeup game at Carmichaels High School with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.

Blue Mountain 5, Mitch’s Bail Bonds 3 – Blue Mountain picked up a road victory over Mitch’s Bail Bonds to set the stage for today’s game with first-place Bud Murphy’s.

Zack Jeney led the way for Blue Mountain (13-4-2) with 15 strikeouts and four walks in seven innings of work. Gene Franks and George Taylor hit home runs in the third and seventh innings respectively. Taylor’s shot provided insurance as Blue Mountain clung to a 4-3 lead. Taylor added a single.

Chuck Gasti doubled for the visitors, while Alex Frey and Cameron Ward chipped in with three and two singles respectively.

Brian Harewicz suffered the loss for Mitch’s Bail Bonds (12-10-1) as he collected one strikeout and one walk in five innings of work.

G.K. Realty 14, Watson & Sons 12 – G.K. Realty built a 12-1 lead and survived a furious rally from Watson & Sons.

Watson & Sons scored 11 runs in the fourth to tie the game at 12, until G.K. Realty (9-9-1) regained the lead with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Nate Fike smacked two home runs, one a grand slam and the other a three-run homer, to power the offense for G.K. Realty. Eric Fudala hit two doubles and Bob Madison added a home run.

J.C. Myers earned the win and Dave Montibeller took the loss as Adam Dukate had three hits for Watson & Sons.

G.K. Realty travels to Republic today to face Pasta Lorenzo.
