Katherine “Kate” Onuscheck Skoda
0005904559-01-1.jpg Katherine “Kate” Skoda, age 82, of Bobtown, Pennsylvania passed away quietly on Saturday, July 17, 2010 in t h e Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W e s t V i r g i n i a. B o r n on February 6, 1928 i n R o y a l, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Mike and Mary (Konter) Onuscheck.
A 1946 graduate of Point Marion High School, she had formerly worked as a Glass Cutter at the former Houze Glass in Point Marion.
She was a faithful member of Saint Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society.
“Kate” was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed so much her time with her family and, in her spare time, playing bingo.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, James L. Skoda; two sons: James Skoda and wife Doris of Point Marion and Michael Skoda of Washington, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren: Eric Skoda, Ali Keener and husband Matt, and Robert Skoda and fiancee Crystal; and a brother, Jack Onuscheck and wife Irene of Indiana, Pa.
Predeceased are her parents and a sister, Mary Onuscheck.
Friends will be received today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 in the RICHARD R. HEROD F U N E R A L H O M E, Point Marion, Pennsylvania.
Family and Friends will gather on Tuesday morning at Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Church in Bobtown where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Father Lawrence V. Holpp as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pennsylvania.
Memorials may be offered to the Bobtown Volunteer Fire Department, Bobtown PA 15315.
