Martin P. “Marty” Krempa
Martin P. “Marty” Krempa, age 77, of Masontown, PA is now watching over us. On the evening of July 17, 2010, Martin went to rest at home surrounded by his loving family after his fight with leukemia.
Martin was known for his uplifting attitude toward life, boundless energy, love of life and people, his kindness, generosity and compassion. Martin was a great inspiration to his children and grandchildren who aspire to follow in his footsteps. He was happiest when he could make others smile and laugh. Martin is now watching over us with his son Greg, who passed on April 18, 1980.
Martin will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Anna Mae (Malcovsky) Krempa, three favorite daughters: favorite daughter Rhonda Rockwell and husband Calvin of Uniontown, favorite daughter Sharon Hays and Jerry Quinn of Uniontown, favorite daughter Jill Springer and husband Jeff of State College; five favorite grandchildren: favorite granddaughter Natasha Malinsky of New York City, favorite granddaughter Tiffany Jobes and husband Tim of Uniontown, favorite grandson Joey Hays of Uniontown, favorite granddaughter Taylor Springer of State College and favorite granddaughter Dana Springer of State College and favorite “daughter”, “Roxy”. His coffee gang at Rob’s won’t be the same without him. Also sadly missed by the gang at Geno’s (Mario’s), and many, many friends.
Martin owned and operated Marty’s Auto in Carmichaels since July 20, 1960 and will be missed at the garage. Martin was active in community service donating vehicles to organizations, assisting in emergency snow removal, contributing generously to various organizations and hosting the EMT program through Carmichaels High School and Carmichaels VFD. He also served on the Masontown Borough Council for several years. Martin lent a smile and was a friendly landmark to all who passed by his garage by sharing his pet goat “Nanny”, who became well known in Carmichaels.
